I'm going to try for my license today. Can't say I'm 100% confident, but I think I'll get it. From what I've heard, the test is easy and short, so all I have to do is not screw up too badly. I know you're allowed 2 minor problems, which I'm assuming means like forgetting to signal or stopping past a stop sign, but I'm not really sure. You automatically fail if you go over the solid line in the middle or if you hit the curb, or if you do anything really illegal or dangerous. Obviously hitting another car means failure unless it was the other driver's fault. I think I can do this... I'm a good driver, even in my mom's car, which pulls side to side if you don't pay enough attention to it. I don't have to parallel park or do a 3-point turn, so I should be safe. I know how to turn, park (...sorta), read signs, and all that basic stuff, so I SHOULD be okay.
Excuse the above paragraph, it was mostly so that I could assure myself that I will be okay.
I promised The Boyfriend that the first place I would drive with my license would be to his house. Regardless of whether or not I get my license today, I'm still going to see him because he and I are going to a jazz concert tonight. More specifically, it's his father's jazz band that's playing, so that should be fun. I'm not a huge fan of jazz, but it's okay, and I always have a good time with The Boyfriend, so yeah.
Going to the dunes was a blast, even though the sun didn't show until about 5 minutes before we left. We still got to swim and climb up one of the dunes and bury The Boyfriend in the sand, so overall it was a wonderful trip. I have discovered that The Boyfriend is not that great of a driver, but he's good enough I guess. He also has a big enough vehicle that getting into an accident wouldn't really be all that bad. lol.
Family came over on Sunday. My uncle and aunt came, and three of their sons, who brought their wives/girlfriends as well as their children. Adding all of them up, it came to twelve people, plus myself, my parents, The Boyfriend and his mom, two of my sisters and their fellas, and my grandpa, which gave us a whopping 22 people. Two of my cousins and their attachments left after about an hour, which cut out 6 people, but still, it was a lot. We had lots of yummy food. We even MADE beef jerky! (My oldest sister gave our dad a dehydrator for his birthday, which was the 29th.) Yummmmm. Homemade jerky is the BEST. I can't wait to try drying some fruit. Dried mangoes are my favorite.
I guess that's really all I've got to talk about. I'll post later with an update about my license, maybe.

You should check out PostSecret. I still haven't figured out what makes me love it so much... I just do.
Maybe it's the sense that someone is telling me their secrets... that someone trusts me. It feels nice, especially when I have friends that don't even trust me. Maybe it's the fact that right there on that screen, there's something, be it work of art or almost post-it quality, that I can relate to. It makes me feel a little more human. Maybe it's simply the fact that I really like hearing juicy gossip, even if I don't know who it's about.
My guess would be a combination of the three.

Wow, two new readers! Hello! :)
I have just finished my 4 days of work study at school, which means I now have a large chunk of my tuition paid for this year via financial aid. Yay!
The first two days went by really quickly. We painted a maroon room this yellow-ish color... without primer... and latex over oil paint, so it was pretty much peeling off right after we'd finished it. Whatever, not my problem, not the problems of the other people in my group, either. If the paint ends up not working out, then next year's work study kids will take care of it, I guess. Maybe the school will figure out how painting is supposed to work... heh. Anywho, on both days we got out at 2:30 instead of 4:00 because we ran out of stuff to do. Yay, indeed!
Yesterday, I did a lot of random stuff. Watering plants, washing windows (which were not actually dirty), taking out recyling, organizing, whatever. Boring. Today, I did a LOT of cleaning. My group cleaned a stairwell, including walls and railings and carpet... blech. Then, we washed chairs and then we went to wash dishes in the kitchen (apparently, one teacher had stockpiled like 15 mugs in his room over the year and hadn't bothered to take them down and wash them himself... ew). After that, we were done.
Yesterday was also my daddy's birthday! He has a strong liking for huge, plastic cups, so my mom and I found 10 for him. I got The Boyfriend to ask my dad a question about something in the garage, and while they were out, my mom and I put all the cups (wrapped) in the cabinet. When they came back in, I asked my dad if he would go make me a cup of ice water, because I was "so tired and thirsty." He took the bait, and a moment later, I could hear fits of laughter in the kitchen. He unwrapped all the cups and liked them very much. We also gave him a hat with a family joke ironed on to it, and then we got The Boyfriend to give him a roll of toilet paper in a bag. You see, there's this long-running joke in my family where SOMEONE always gives another person a roll of toilet paper. It happens at every birthday, every Christmas, and whatever other gift-giving events roll along. My dad started it, I'm sure. Anyway, we thought it would catch him by surprise if The Boyfriend gave it to him, since he's technically not part of the family, and he's been around the least amount of holidays and such. My dad thought it was hilarious. Yay! After the presents, my mom, dad, The Boyfriend, and I went out to dinner with my two sisters and their fellas. Yummyyyyy Mediterranean food.
So yes, that was my yesterday. After work study today, my mom and I came home and made Paula Deen's Old Fashioned Fudge Pie. It was (and is) delicious! And, it was quite simple. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has a craving for chocolate and about 3 minutes to spare (since really, the brunt of the time it takes to make the pie is in the baking).
Sorry for the slew of long posts lately. I tend to neglect the internet for days at a time, considering it's summer and I have better things to do. heehee.
Again, hello to you new people! :D :D :D I can't wait to check out your blogs!

It's been too long, kids. :(
Sooo... what is up in Norah land?
Last night, I was supposed to see The Cab and The Academy Is... at the county fair. I was SUPER excited. YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I seriously was running around, jumping, whatever. So yeah, we got to the show (about 2 hours early, and still didn't get to be in front). We waited. My foot went numb from sitting on it. (They made us sit for some reason.) The show started. The Cab was excellent, I must say. But, I have to admit, I was really there to see TAI. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. They're definitely in my top 5. Anyway, The Cab got done, and we waited a little more. TAI started playing, and got through a couple of goodies. "The Phrase That Pays" was (of course) excellent, which is good, since it is my favorite. They played one more song after that (I think), and then started one of the songs from the newest album. It sounded good and we were all having a blast. Now, it had been raining since about 3/4 of the way through The Cab's set, but not too hard. We'd seen maybe 2 lightning bolts, nothing out of the ordinary. So we were a little confused when all of a sudden, Bill Beckett started saying "stop stop stop" to everyone (the band and the folks in the crowd). The guy working at the fair then got on stage and told us that the show was OVER. Everyone went nuts. I seriously thought I was going to be stuck in the middle of a riot. People begged and pleaded, yelled, just stood around... nothing worked. I stayed a little while to help my friend find her shoe (she wore flip flops and one of them had fallen off)... but nothing happened. The security guards kicked everyone out.
Now, here's the part that really bothers me: Bill Beckett looked at the crowd and told us that TAI will be playing at... wait for it... SIX FLAGS in a week (or something soon like that). As much as I love Six Flags and TAI, I'm not going to spend $50 to see a show that I should have already seen for $10. I just don't have that kind of money. I seriously hope they do some kind of make-up show for us. I mean, we were out there, dancing our asses off in the RAIN, muddy and sweaty and disgusting, only to hear like... 4 songs. Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed. (Mostly at the weather, somewhat also at the fair for kicking us off... screw the legal crap, lol... maybe a little at TAI, even though it's really not their fault at ALL.)
Ugh. I called The Boyfriend when we got back to my friend Maggie's house, and almost started crying. CRYING. I was soooo excited about this show. I made a t-shirt and worked on one for a friend. I'd been waiting and waiting and waiting for that day for MONTHS. I even started listening to The Cab more because I wanted to be prepared for the show. (The Cab is good, but not that good. Sorry Maggie, I know you want their bods, lol.)
UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH.
Aaaaaanyway... last night turned out pretty well. I hung out with Maggie and our other friend, Lauryn, at Maggie's house. We "slept" over, which really meant we stayed up talking until 6am and then slept until 11am... haha. It was pretty fun. Let's just say... they know me really well now... hahaha. Yeah.
Here's to good music and good friends. ♥

Summer and I have a love/hate relationship...
I have my senior pictures today! It's so weird... I love and hate this feeling of growing up. I'm excited that I'm almost ready to go out on my own, get away from home and my parents... but at the same time, I have this extreme anxiety about not being ready. I'm only going to be 17 when I graduate! What if I really did need that one more year like everyone else? Plus, I have to get my license by August 1st, since I need to get a parking ticket for school. I also have to read my two books for summer reading (although I'm assuming that will be easy) and write the essay on the history book (not so sure about that one). On top of that, I have a college visit this Friday... which, I have to say, I'm pretty excited about, but still, there's that whole growing up thing again. I still need to set up my checking account and get th
e picture taken for my passport so that I can turn in my application, so that I'll be able to go on the France trip that I believe is already 1/2 paid for. Two weeks from now, I will be spending 4 days at school (8am-4pm, longer than school hours, even) with the boyfriend (was going to be my mom but she went and got a job... how lame) so that we can work our butts off in order that I may continue going to my school. It's a little thing called "work study" and I do it so that I can get financial aid, seeing as I go to a fairly expensive private school. That is not really something that I'm stressed about so much as not really looking forward to it. I am slightly worried that I will forget to pack my lunches. But... oh well, I can always make the boyfriend go get me a hot dog from the place down the street. Teehee, I'm spoiled.
That being said... I still love summer. It gives me time to relax (although I'm finding that rather hard to believe, looking at that list up there), time to myself, time to get tan (or just freckly), time to be with friends, family, and the boyfriend, time to swim, time to shop (or just wander aimlessly at the mall), time to make s'mores and camp out, and generally time to have a good amount of fun.
Time to talk about fun/happy things, eh?
I haven't seen the boyfriend in a whole WEEK! (I know, I'm spoiled... most people would not think that is a big deal, but for me, it is.) He's coming to pick me up for my senior pictures today, so I FINALLY get to see him! (He was at his cousin's house, which is like an hour away, for a few days and then at his dad's house for the weekend.) I am very excited, to say the least. There shall be many hugs. I have two very adorable outfits for senior pictures, one of which is brand new, fresh from the mall yesterday. Here are some peektures for you. :D

Outfit #1: Green 1/2 length sleeved blouse from Charlotte Russe, most favorite pair of jeans (skinnies from... Zumiez?), black 20s/30s heels from... Sears? or Carson's.

Outfit #2: White cami (purely necessity, can't really see it), orange tee from Kohl's, White hoodie from Kohl's, golden necklace w/ beads & leaves on it from Kohl's, favorite jeans again, colorful Chuck Taylors (that I had to wash off so that they don't look so grungy).
Closer shot of the necklace (which I will probably wrap around my neck twice - 1 long strand and 1 short)
Orson, my teddy bear that I've had since I was 2. My mommy wants me to at least take a couple shots with him as my prop, just because they would be cute. I agreed to do it because he has been with me through just about everything. He even went to the doctor with me once when I was little and I left him there over night on accident. I was so sad, but when went to pick him up, the lady that talked to us (I don't remember if she was a nurse/doctor/receptionist/whatever) said that he was very good but cried all night because he missed me so much. Sometimes, grownups are adorable.
So that is that. I'm not 100% sure I'm going to wear the heels with the first outfit. Might just stick with the Chucks for the whole shoot. Not even sure if my shoes will show up in any pictures.
What else? Well this has been a really long post so I will wrap it up by saying that my next post will be all about the rest of the fun things I'm going to do this summer.
For now, peace out, homies!

EDIT: SORRY ABOUT THE BAD LIGHTING AND FAIRLY BLURRY SHOTS AHEAD OF TIME. I WAS TOO LAZY TO MOVE ALL THIS CRAP OUT OF THIS ROOM WHERE IT ALREADY WAS. :D (Anyway, you get the general idea of what they are, so it shouldn't matter too much.)

OH MAN SORRY I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT POSTING ABOUT MY MOM AND SAYING I WOULD UPDATE AHHHHH!
She's fine. :) She probably has an ulcer. Umm... yes. She came home from the hospital, as planned, the day after going in. Stayed home for the rest of the day and went to work the next day and now everything is back to normal.
My dad left yesterday morning to go on a camping trip with his brothers and his dad (and apparently some of his nephews, too, although 3 of the 4 brothers who did not bring their children were kinda mad about that). My mom and I spent last night... being really weird. We watched "Mr. Mom," which was cute, and it was really funny to see such a young Michael Keaton. Then we decided that we were hungry at 10:45pm. Too bad nothing is open but McDonald's... AND STEAK & SHAKE! So we went and got chocolate shakes and cheese fries. Sooooo healthy, right? RIGHT. When we got home, we got all weird. I think the chocolate made us insane because I just started spacing out and we were laughing at our mutual inability to speak in sentences. I once tried to tell her that "the garlic smells like fridge."
Anyway, we were still awake, so we decided to pick another movie from OnDemand. Found one called "The Song Spinner." I have to tell you, if you would like to laugh your butt off at a horrible movie, "The Song Spinner" may be the one for you. It's basically about this little "kingdom" that has outlawed music and loud noises (but apparently talking is okay because it somehow does not disturb silence). This lady and this little girl meet, and the lady shows the girl music, and the girl is set on making everyone like music and change the law and blah. My most favorite part of the whole movie is when the girl shows the music machine (also called a "song spinner," which basically is like a music box but the turning key is on the top in the middle instead of the back/bottom). At first he covers his ears, but then the girl gives him the key (for the song spinner) that apparently makes you speak truth (golden lasso, much?) and she asks him what his heart thinks and he says, "My heart thinks... that there's a rainbow in my ears!" At this point in the movie, my mom had fallen asleep, and I started cracking up and she woke up b/c of me, but it was so so so funny... geez. What a gem of a film.
*Awkward topic shift* so my sister and I both have ps3s, and we were both "walking around" in the Playstation Home thing, which is basically a giant, animated chat room, where you can walk an avatar around and stuff. Minigames here and there. Whatever. So she and I were talking, and we kept getting hit on by random guys (not abnormal on PSHome). So I'm like "Basically, people calling each other hot in here should be saying, 'I like yo pixels.'" And she and I laughed about it and then every time someone called us "hot" or something along those lines, I'd say that I liked their pixels. Some got it and laughed, some were like "whaaa?" and left. Gooood times.
I don't have anything else to say goodnight!

I haven't posted in THREE DAYS.
I woke up this morning to the sound of my mother puking. I listened from my bed for a couple of minutes (my room is right across the hall from the bathroom), door closed, blankets still covering my face. I then heard the light turn off and footsteps. I figured that my mom had the flu and was returning to the couch in the living room. Moments later, I heard my mom again, moaning in pain. It sounded like the noise you make when you gag but can't puke, so I figured she probably just needed some crackers or water. I then heard my dad walk down the hall and walk... into the office, to talk to her. She was in the office? He asked if she needed ginger ale or crackers, and she said,
"No, I can't drink anything because it hurts... I think I'm dehydrated though."
My dad then asked, "Do I need to take you to the hospital?" My mom answered him in a groan. Moments later, he was knocking on my door, telling me that he and mom were off to the hospital and that he'd call once they knew what was going on. My mom asked me to call my grandpa and aunt and cancel their brunch today, and to say that she had the flu. (So basically she told me to lie to them, but probably so that they wouldn't freak out. I did exactly as she said.)
My mom and dad left, and I was home alone... for 1, 2, 3 hours. Finally, I called my dad. No answer. He texted me back an hour after that, saying that my mom had an intestinal infection. He would be back soon and would need help packing an overnight bag for my mom. The hospital wanted to keep her there overnight? After a while, my dad came back and we packed a bag. He hopped onto his motorcycle and brought the bag to my mom at the hospital. My dad came back about an hour later. I'd called my mom while he was gone, and she told me that it might, in fact, be an ulcer and not an infection, but the doctors needed to do a test to figure that out. She said she would let us know when they figured it out.
My dad and I had planned to go to a rib festival nearby today, and since my mom wasn't going to go anyway, we decided we still would. We took the boyfriend, and the three of us went to the fest. I ate 2 different kinds of ribs. The boyfriend decided to try these ribs with "atomic" sauce on them. I tried one tiny finger-tip of the sauce and my tonge feels kind of dead in the middle now. Taste buds are basically fried for a day or two. I did not have any more of that sauce... actually I went and got some Dippin' Dots immediately after because it hurt so much.
Anyway, the ribs were good good good, and I also had a deep-fried Milky Way. Yaaaay unhealthy food! They are delicious. You should try one sometime... oh, and fried pickles.
Got home at around 9:30 and called my mom. No answer. I'm guessing she was asleep.
I showed the boyfriend the demo for inFAMOUS that I'd downloaded and played today on ps3. It's AMAZING. I want it. Such a cool looking game.
He left and now I'm here, blogging. I guess that's all there is.
Oh and happy late 4th of July (aka happy 5th of July, lol). I went to the fireworks, as usual, with my dad, but we decided to meet up with the boyfriend and his parents, so that was fun. I got too many mosquito bites, though... and ON MY FOREHEAD, no less. :(
So yeah, that's my life as of today. I'll post any updates about my mom. She's supposed to come home tomorrow.
Peace out, kiddos.

IT'S JULY WHERE I LIVE! Happy July!
:D
I watched Dirty Harry today with the boyfriend and two of his friends, who are dating each other. That is a great movie, although I found Scorpio kind of ridiculous. I'm not even sure if that is a bad thing, though... I don't think so. He was just actin' like a crazy guy.
And then at the part where *SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER* he went "AHHHH" like a girl and made a fish face and we all started laughing.
I don't have anything else to say. Peace.
OH YEAH I FIGURED OUT THAT I CAN USE PANDORA ON MY PS3!!! :D

I am now 70% (ish) of the way through Rayman:Raving Rabbids. We figured out that in order to play 2-player, we need 2 nunchuks, not just 2 remotes, so my dad and I will head out to Target/GameStop/whatever sometime this week, I'm guessing.
My arms are tired because of that game. :P
My best friend and her boyfriend got back together. I'm hanging out with her on Tuesday or Wednesday. Woo!
Billy Mays died. You know, OxyClean dude? Apparently his wife just rolled over in bed and noticed that he wasn't breathing. Geez, how awful has that got to be? I feel bad for her. That really sucks.
I've determined that every guy on the Playstation Network falls into one of these categories:
1) My age and stupid
2) Younger than me and stupid
3) Slightly older than me and stupid
4) Enough older than me that it would be creepy if he hit on me, but not stupid.
5) Way older than me and stupid.
So far, I have not talked to any guy there that does not fall into one of those categories. And then the girls are all:
1) Skanks
2) Immature
3) Actually dudes
So of course, I get hit on a lot because I am an actual female who is neither skanky not an immature moron. I hate getting hit on. It sucks. I need a sign over my avvy's head that just says "I'm taken and not interested in anything but gamer friends." Ugh. By the way, if you're on the Playstation Network, friend me! :D I need some less stupid friends. haha.
What else?... meh, there really is nothing else...

TIME FOR ME TO RANT!
I have a twitter account. (Twitter.com/lepamplemousse, if you wanted to know.) The other day, I asked this: Anyone have any tips on how to encourage your boyfriend to start drawing a webcomic? We have yet to start ours, and I'm getting frustrated.
Do you see, in that twit, "@answers" anywhere at all? No? Me neither. But apparently Mahalo.com saw that and decided it was time to post my question to its own site... using some kind of bot (scraper, I guess it's called) with my twitter account name, unbeknownst to me, of course. A few days later, I was receiving mysterious tweets from some user called "Answers," all of which included about half a sentence and a link. Upon clicking the link, I discovered what Mahalo had done. I posted another tweet : @answers What the heck? You took my question and posted it to Mahalo, even going so far as to use my Twitter account name?!?!
Obviously, the same scraper took the question and posted it, thinking it was legit. Some real users answered me, asking if I'd had a problem or what had happened. One even went so far as to say that I shouldn't have posed my original question to @answers if I didn't want them to respond. Apparently, they don't know how this site works.
Anyway, I posted a couple more responses, not even questions, on twitter, all directed to @answers. Moments later, I saw some more @replies. I tried to look at the links, but what do you know, "Page not found." Mahalo noticed me complaining and took MY words off of THEIR site.
I know it seems like a silly thing to get worked up about, but what if it hadn't been just a little tweet? What if it had been this blog entry? Or an essay posted to Turnitin.com? How far are these scraper sites willing to go?
I seriously hope that Mahalo and other sites like it either get taken off the internet or get a total rehaul so that they won't take unsuspecting people's words away from them anymore.
p.s. If you really feel like annoying someone, tweet a million things to @answers, just random stuff. Okay, so it's not very mature, and probably not a good idea, but part of me almost wants to do it anyway. (I probably won't.)

So... Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson both died today. I'm sure you've heard. That's all I have to say about that bit of news.
Today, I finally got to go to the pool! (By "finally" I mean I haven't been to a pool in a couple YEARS.) I went with the boyfriend and three of my friends. We splashed around for a while. It was fun times. And then we went to get dinner at a pizza/pasta place by the boyfriend's house. One of the three friends left. We ate yummy food! Yay! After that, we figured out that we needed to go back to my house so that my friend could get her car so that she and her bf (my other friend) could go home. I guess he needed to be home by 9pm, which the boyfriend and I had not anticipated. The four of us piled into the boyfriend's car, headed to my house. We got there, and my two friends left. The boyfriend and I went inside.
And what did we do, you ask? Only one of the coolest things possible... WE WATCHED THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW! HUZZAH! If you haven't seen it... well, let me warn you, it's kind of (by which I mean VERY) strange. But you should see it. Your parents might not approve, depending on who you/they are... but you should still see it. It's crazy cool. Hard to believe that Dr. Frank-N-Furter, aka Tim Curry, was the same guy that played the voice of GOD in "Animated Stories from the Bible: Music Video - Volume 1." lol WUT. (AND Nigel Thornberry from The Wild Thornberries? Sheesh.)
Anywho... After watching the movie, the boyfriend had to leave. He's sleeping over at a friend's house tonight. We talked about the movie for a minute and then he drove off. I went inside, craving something sweet, so I opened my fridge and BAM! Giant hunk of watermelon. My mommy left a chunk just for me, separate from the melon mix from fathers' day, because she knows I only like watermelon and not the others. At times like this, I can see how awesome she is. So yes, basically, I ate it and it was THE BEST WATERMELON I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE, I think. Yummy yummy.
Overall, today was a successful summer day! Yay!

I am (hopefully) going swimming at the boyfriend's friend's house today! Huzzah! My house just got really hot... or maybe I am just toasty for no reason. I don't know. I think I shall go eat something, since it is now 3pm and I have not yet done so today. Hmm... oh mah gah I think I motivated the boyfriend a little more on the making our comic front! :D Yaaay. (If you didn't know this, we've been planning on starting one since like... winter... and it has yet to actually happen, although we do have characters and a general setting.)
If swimming does not happen today, then I will probably end up watching Rocky Horror (finally), so really it is a win-win situation. Yay!
Today feels like a good day. The end.
Psst, make sure you look at the links in my last entry.

I just discovered a new webcomic that I like. It's pretty new (I think there are around 50 strips so far), so I read through the whole thing in like 10-15 minutes. If you like cuteness, bears, baked beans, or adventure (or a combination of these!), you should check out The Purple Hills Afar.
I saw an ad for it on the site for Pictures For Sad Children, a webcomic that I love, and it looked adorable so I checked it out. Sure enough, cuteness abound! Yay!
/end plugs
I've really got nothing interesting to say at the moment. I slept in really late today, so I haven't done very much. Probably going to eat something or whatever. Oh hay, I'll add one more thing.
I have this one ADORABLE dress that my friend gave me. Her mom bought it at Goodwill, but it was too big on her (she's tiny), so she asked if I wanted it. It turned out that the dress was too small for me. It zips up fine until about 1 inch from the top. I've had this dress in my closet for months now, not knowing what to do with it. I really like it a lot. I've decided that I'm going to try to get my mom to help me figure out how to let it out a bit, or add something to the back so that it is wearable. I would really like to wear it to the homecoming dance at the boyfriend's school next year, assuming we go.

Am I the only one who finds vintage bathing suits adorable? I'm talking about the one-piece ones that have a square top a lot of the time and you see in all those old movies. Most of what I've seen Katy Perry wear kind of resembles them.
Meh, I was just thinking about that and how much bathing suits have changed since then. I wish I could have lived back when these were still really in fashion. When I went shopping for my summer wear, I did see a few like this, however... but failed to actually purchase one. :'(
Oh well, maybe next year.
(Sorry if bathing suit entries are awkward or taboo to any of you. I just had to get that out of my system.)

My friend Kyle's birthday party is in about an hour and a half (hopefully, if his power doesn't go out again). Woo!
I think I shall check up on webcomics and waste a bit of time playing flash games.
The boyfriend and I finished Resident Evil 5! Yayyyy! :D It was amaaaazingly pretty, and a darn tootin' fun game, too. I highly recommend it (although I have to admit that I don't know what the gameplay is like on single player, since we played it full through on co-op).
Hopefully sometime this week, I will watch my newly bought copy of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with the boyfriend. I haven't seen it in a long time (so long that I remember absolutely NOTHING about it except that there's some singing and it's in a mansion or something along those lines). I'm pretty stoked. I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower earlier this year, and that movie was mentioned in it several times (kind of a big plot detail, but I'm not really giving anything away here by telling you that).
Speaking of Perks, HAVE YOU READ IT? I LOVED it so much! It was a really great book. I highly recommend reading it if you have not yet done so. It's fairly short (like 180 pages or something along those lines, if I remember correctly). It's from 1999, and it was set in 1991-1992, so there are a few pop culture references that may make you think back a bit, but nothing terribly hard to understand. The character supposedly writing the book, called "Charlie," made a reference to Harvey Milk at some point. I don't exactly remember why. I was reading the book right after the movie Milk came out, so I chuckled a little bit about that. So yeah, READ IT READ IT READ IT! :D
Alright, I'm done rambling. See you crazy kids later.

Happy Fathers' (Father's? I GUESS IT WORKS BOTH WAYS!) Day!
I'm going to a minor league baseball game (which are really the best) and then coming back home for barbecue! Yum! Nothing like bbq ribs. :D :D :D After that, we will probably play Wii or something, since most of my family likes to do that. I got my dad a Wii game for Father's Day. It's Rayman: Raving Rabbids. It's supposed to be this really weird/crazy/funny party game, so I'm hoping it'll be fun.
Not much else to say at this point. I may edit and add more later, if I feel like it.
Spend some time with your dads, grandads, friends' dads, or people who are just like dads to you! Make sure they know how much you appreciate them! Yay!

OK, this has been driving me nuts ALL day.
I was watching TV with my mom one time, YEARS ago, and we saw (I think) the beginning of this one movie. There was a boy walking down a street in a hoodie. It looked like it was probably really hot. He was bleeding, I think from his arm, and it was dripping on the ground. Then, some adult (I think his dad or someone else he knew) came by in a truck or a van or something. The adult was freaking out but I remember the boy not really saying anything or having a reaction to anything. He may or may not have had a skateboard with him.
And then the channel was changed, the movie never to be seen by me ever again.
For some reason, I was just thinking about that movie, and I was wondering if anyone out there on the interweb knows what I'm talking about. It's been driving me nuts. I keep filling the spot of the adult with Clint Eastwood, but I don't think he was actually in it. That's just my brain doing weird stuff.
SOMEONE FIGURE THIS OUT FOR ME PLEASE! Google is not being terribly helpful at this point in time.
♥
EDIT: So I put this up on Yahoo Answers, and some guy replied that I had seen the beginning of Arlington Road. I checked it out, and I think he's right! Yaaaay! :D

Today was my good friend's golden birthday (woo, 17 on the 17th!). She had a party where we burned things and ate and played Rock Band. It was fun. Almost all of my friends from school were there, along with my boyfriend and a few other kids that my friend knows from outside of school. In total, there were 3 people attending that I did not know, 1 of whom my friend didn't even know. Yayyyy. :)
My sister's aunt died the other day. (All of my sisters are 1/2 sisters, if you're wondering how they have aunts who aren't related to me.) It was sad, I guess... I mean, I didn't really know her. She'd had cancer for a long time, so it wasn't really a surprise. It made me sad because my mom was about to cry when she talked about it, and my sister was sad, and I'm sure her dad was sad, since it was his sister who'd died. I wish I could hug my sister right now, though. I miss her so much...
I guess this would be a good time to introduce you to my sister.
This is an old old old picture. If my calculations are correct, this was when I was about 8, which would make her about 15. I'm guessing this was before she went to my schools Christmas Banquet.

I love old pictures like this... Also, wow, my living room used to be SO ugly. (We've since remodeled). Anyway... my sister. She's basically the most important person in my life. She's always been there for me. Even when we used to argue and get on each others' nerves, she was there when I needed her. I could always hang out in her room, and I loved watching her play video games like the Final Fantasy series. She's the reason I'm into gaming now, actually. She would randomly surprise me sometimes... like once, really early in the morning, she went to Jewel (grocery store) and bought some pastry things and some fruit and Cool Whip and we made a little breakfast before school. Another time, also really early in the morning, she bought the new DDR game and we played it before we had to leave for school. I never realized back then how cool she was.
Now, she's all grown up and in college and engaged (to a really awesome dude!) and... she's in Georgia... which is something like 14 hours away from here, I think. I would kill for a teleportation machine that could zap me right to her, whenever I wanted. I miss her so much... every time I visit her, I start to cry as soon as I'm either pulling out of the driveway or getting onto the plane... within 10 seconds of being able to see her, I just about fall apart. I hope you guys have people that you're connected to like that. No matter what happens, no matter if I do something really stupid, or if all hell breaks loose in my family, I know my sister will be there for me.
Hum... I think that's enough blogging for one day. Later, kids.

Since it's summer, I won't be posting as much. This is simply due to the fact that noteworthy things happen in the summer 75% less than during the school year.
I went shopping with the boyfriend yesterday. I got 4 new pairs of shorts and a swimsuit! Woo! After that, I went home and my best friend came over. We went and rented Wario Ware: Smooth Moves from the video store and played that for a while. We then watched Stand By Me (which we'd also rented), and then went to sleep. She left this morning pretty early.
Later, I got up and went to Starbucks with my mom, where I met up with the boyfriend. We'd pre-planned a snuggle day (yes, we do that), so that we could just hang around at his house and... well... snuggle. Haha. We went back to his house and watched Run Fatboy Run, which was actually really cute. I liked it a lot. His mommy went to the video store for us and picked up Resident Evil 5 for XBox 360, so we started playing that on co-op. It was pretty... the graphics were pretty, I mean. The actually game is kinda gross, haha. I'm quite partial to slicing things rather than shooting them, just so you know. Anyway, we ate dinner and then went back to gaming. After that, we snuggled up on the couch for like half an hour and then my mom came and picked me up. A lovely day overall... probably one of the best I've had in a while, actually. :D
Now, I'm sitting at home, typing in my blog. (Gee, I wonder if you already knew that...) I'm debating whether or not to play some Sims 3 before going to bed. We shall see.
I want to hang with my friends soon. I kinda bailed on them the other day... not really, I just wasn't up for going out that particular night. But hey, we have the whole summer, so I'm not too worried about it.
Speaking of friends, one of my friends is having her golden birthday this Wednesday! Pretty exciting. :) I think I need to get her a present... hmm... Well I'll figure that out tomorrow or something. For now, I shall say good night!

As per Maggie's request...
Here are some funny things that my mom found. I kept these ones from going back into the box because I feel as though I can find a special place in my room for them. They just remind me of an easier, more carefree time in my life, and I think we all need those reminders sometimes.
I have no idea who this first one came from. I don't even know what grade it was from. It just makes me laugh.
Here's a close-up of the front. If you can't read it, it says "From Danny to Norah." The speech bubble says "your my friend." I was good friends with a boy named Danny in second grade. He's Maggie's little brother! Can you believe it? Friend with one sibling and then years later, friends with the other.
Here's the inside of the card. If you can't tell, it says "hey Norah I just wanted to give you this card. I have no idea why I'm giving this to you I guess because were friends." I think what makes this so funny is the message as well as the funny little grammatical errors. Second grade... what a great year.
Skip forward to fifth grade (I think?). It was my turn to be "Champion of the Week." I read through all the papers like this I received, but wanted to share this one because now I'm good friends with the girl who wrote it. Back then, we were just classmates, if I remember correctly.

If you can't read it, it says "I'm glad your in my class. You have a nice family. I like your bear. You have cool tropheys." I guess along with being "Champion of the Week," we had to do a little show-and-tell. From what all the other papers said, I assume I brought in Orson (my teddy bear), my karate trophies, and some pictures of my family. So thanks, Maggie, for the kind note! lol.

I did not post yesterday! Oh my.
There is a very good reason for this, however.
START OF LONG STORY- SKIP THE BOLD TEXT IF YOU WANT TO SKIP IT. I'LL UNDERLINE ANYTHING IMPORTANT.
You see, the boyfriend invited me to his friend's birthday party. I went. We were hanging out at his house, and then we all went outside (at this point there were like... 8 of us?)... and then someone decided it would be fun to walk down to the railroad tracks (it's just down a hill behind his house). After that, someone else decided we would walk down the railroad tracks to this one bridge. And when we'd gotten about 3/4 of the way down, a red light by the bridge went on.
TRAIN.
Luckily, there was this weird spot where there was cement on both sides of the tracks, and on one side there was a cement slope you could go down. We all went down the slope, and I realized that the "weird spot" was actually a bridge over this little creek. We hung around, basically in the bushes, and watched the train go by. I tried to take a picture on my phone but I'd thought of it too late, so I didn't get the shot. Oh well. Instead of climbing back up the slope, someone decided to walk into the woods. We were going to go see the "killing circle." I was not pleased, but I went along with it anyway. Some of the people had on shorts/flip-flops/both, so I felt bad for them. I, unfortunately, was in my favorite jeans and my brand new maroon One-Stars. :(
We started to walk. We went through tall grass, which freaked me out because there could have been animals in it (someone saw one at some point and we found fresh deer tracks). Then, we got to a wet spot. Oh joy. My feet got kinda wet, but not too bad. We all kept walking, through the grass and bushes and trees. We went up a hill that smelled like poop (apparently there was a farm nearby) and then down the other side and through some more trees and finally made it to the "killing circle." Apparently it's called that because it's almost entirely surrounded by hill. Nothing all that interesting. Bugs starting eating us, so we decided to leave. Someone decided we would go another way.
We started to walk, and then it got wet... and wetter... and wetter. One of the guys said "I think this is the marsh... we don't want to go this way" but we walked a bit further. The leaders started laughing and we realized that we'd been pranked. They then took us back and we took a real way back to the house. I think maybe we got a little bit lost... we ended up at the creek that we had crossed earlier (somewhere past the first meadow of tall grass)... and decided the best way would be to walk through it. I took off my socks and then put my shoes back on, rolled up my jeans as best I could (although they were skinnies so it didn't work all that well), and walked across. The water went about 10 inches below my waste. :[ Someone else walked over to this close by cement thing and we realized that had we crossed there (it was about 10 feet away from where we had crossed), the water would have only gone up to mid-shin. I was pissed.
After crossing, 1/2 the boys decided they wanted to try to build a bridge next to the cement thing (which I guess was also attached to an old beaver dam). We ended up staying there for like an hour, while the one other girl with us and I slowly started to freeze our butts off. Once it was about to start getting dark, we went back... We got back to the house and I looked at the time on my phone, only to realize that we'd been out in the woods/meadows/creek/etc. for THREE HOURS.
We all went in after some people changed/hosed off... and proceeded to have a pretty good time. We ate, talked, played games, and so on.
I went home around 10:30 and looked at some more old stuff my mom found. (Maggie, there's something from you from 5th grade and another thing from Danny from 2nd grade that I want to show you!) I then went to bed.
I slept in until 1:30pm. I usually don't do that, but I guess I got exhausted after yesterday.
Today, I played Mario Paint with my SuperNes, which we just found! We have other games, but the only controller we have is the mouse, so I can only play Mario Paint for the time being. I'm looking to borrow a controller from the boyfriend.
There you have it, the last day and a half of my life.

I just went through a few more boxes with my mom. Today's were better than yesterday's because they were old school and art projects by my sister and me. Some of the stuff was just friggin' hilarious. Other parts were adorable. Allan will appreciate this especially: according to my mom, after looking at some of the "artwork" that I made as a child, I went through an LSD phase. I should get some of the stuff I drew/made and take pictures or scan it in. It was just so funny. We were also reassured that I was the only person in my kindergarten class who could spell... sort of... at least enough that you can decipher the words I was trying to write.
EDIT: Here is an example, for your viewing pleasure.

At some points, I laughed until I cried.
Nothing else to report for today. I think I'm just gonna chill at home tonight because I'm kinda exausted for whatever reason and I'd like a night to myself.
What else?... hmm... Well everyone I know is now done with school (or is taking a summer class so that next year will be easier), so that's awesome. I'm pretty stoked for summer now. The only thing that would make it better would be my mom getting a job so that I can have some time home alone... and I guess having a little more money would not hurt, but I'm not complaining. We're still comfortable.
I think I'm done now. Byebye!

Today... wow.
Mom and I went through some of the boxes in the basement. All of it was present wrapping stuff (boxes, bows, paper, etc.), so that was no fun but it didn't take long.
Dad came home and took me to my friend's house.
We spent (I think) about 3 hours trying to pick a movie to watch. We settled on Sweeny Todd, but then stopped watching that after about 5 minutes. Then, we started watching Equilibrium, and stopped after about 15 (horribly boring) minutes. After that, we picked Jesus Camp (that documentary about some kids in a charismatic church), and watched about 10 minutes of that before being creeped out enough to stop watching.
Finally, we settled on the Onion Movie (as in the Onion News), which was fun. I ended up leaving before the end, but that was fine because there wasn't much of a plotline, anyway.
The only thing that really stood out tonight was the fact that my friend's brother was actually NICE to me... He kept talking to me in little chunks, and my friend (his sister, duh), but not very much of it was us making fun of each other... we were just nice... well... nice and then later he hit on me. Here's how it went down:
Me: Am I sleeping over?
Friend: I dunno. I kind of want to sleep tonight.
Me: Like when?
Friend: Like 10... that's in an hour.
Me: I think I'll go home then, I want to stay up later.
Friend's brother: You can stay over tonight. *smile*
Me: ...
Friend: You've already dated one of my friends, you can't have another one.
Friend's brother: Well I'll only be here for three more weeks, anyway. *wink smile point*
Me: ...Ok now I am thoroughly creeped out.
So in writing it does not look as weird as it felt to me... but I dunno. It was just strange. I am probably making a mountain out of a molehill but I can't shake the feeling like maybe he was not kidding 100%. Maybe only 95% joke, 5% serious.
I DON'T KNOW. IT WAS WEIRD. THE END.

Went over to the boyfriend's yesterday. We watched Deadliest Warrior for a freakin' long time. Fun fun fun. You will also be happy to know that we ate pizza puffs! (In case you weren't already aware, I LOVE pizza puffs more than breathing... in fact, I would not mind breathing pizza puffs instead of air.)
It was a good day overall.
Today has been boring. I've done nothing but eat a bit and play Sims 3. I would be hanging with friends, but we've already hung out a lot in the last couple of days, so that can wait a bit. The boyfriend is at his dad's house and my bff across the street is working today. There's nothing but computer and video games at my house, so that is what I ended up doing. Tomorrow, I will begin the first of my summer chores by bringing up a few of the boxes from the basement and organizing them with my mom. It actually might be kinda fun. :) I like looking through old stuff sometimes.
Sometimes I worry about getting really horrible diseases. I guess that's normal... I just always wonder what I'd do, who I'd tell first, and so on. I also wonder about the people who inflict pain upon themselves. I can't imagine why they would do it. I don't just mean like cutting or what have you, but anorexia and smoking and whatever else you can do to hurt yourself. To me, it makes no sense, even though I know people have their reasons.
My brain is running wild today since I've had nothing to think about except keeping my two sims alive. (Well, it was one until she got married, haha. What a nerd I am.)
I don't think I've got much else to say. Byebye, kids.

So I'm not going to be able to get my dad a father's day present because my mom hasn't gotten a job yet. And now I'm really upset... my dad feels like he keeps getting the short end of the stick when it comes to father's day, so now this is just making it worse.
All I wanted to get him was some crab claw oven mitts. They are hilarious and if you know my family, you'll know why I would want them. Maggie's probably the only one that will get it. Two mitts, with shipping, are like $20. It's a little pricey for oven mitts, but it's not like it's anything all that expensive... But there's no money for it. I'm gonna try and figure out how to get money for them, but at the moment I've got about zero options... I guess I could try selling some stuff. GameStop will probably buy some of my games. I think that's what I'll do.
Peace out, homies.

I won't be able to post tonight, so I figured I'd post now.
I'm heading over to Maggie's pretty soon. We are going to party it up. (Ok, she and a few of our other friends are already partying. As usual, I am the latecomer, due to the fact that the boyfriend is coming but he couldn't leave his house 'til about 10 minutes ago.) I'm pretty stoked. I got all dressed up for summer! Yay!
I played Sims 3 a ton today. It is a fun fun fun game. I'll probably go through withdrawl tonight, as I will be spending the night at Maggie's. Oh well, I have a full day tomorrow...Sunday...Monday... the entire summer, even. But I will not spend my entire summer playing the Sims 3, don't worry. I will be going on college visits and to the fair and hopefully some shows and Six Flags and all sorts of fun places like that. Also doing lots of chores so as to earn money for my trip to France. Huzzah!
Today, I am wearing purple eyeliner. Just thought you should know.
My school just called... all I heard was my mom saying hello... I wonder what it is.
Guess that's all I've got for now. Peace.

I'm heading over to Maggie's pretty soon. We are going to party it up. (Ok, she and a few of our other friends are already partying. Yay for being done with finals!!! :D
Also, yay for GETTING SIMS 3 TONIGHT! HEEHEEHEE. My daddy is going to pick it up now or within the hour, with or without me (depending on whether or not he wants to ride his motorcycle). Yes, I am spoiled. But I do have to actually earn it, so nanner. I'll end up with chores and yardwork and suchly. But it's worth it. So so so worth it.
Tomorrow is my friends' last day of finals (I was lucky enough to have 8th period study hall, so I don't have an 8th period final, which is the only one tomorrow). After that all gets done, we are celebrating at Maggie's! Woo. We are eventually going to have a paper-burning party, although I will not be burning anything from French, or most likely English. Trig and bio, however, can disappear.
I got my schedule for next year!!! :D It goes like this:
Semester 1:
Advanced French (H)
Graphic Design 1
Drawing 1
Creative Writing
Lunch (but this might get changed since everyone starts with 5th lunch)
Study Hall (I might get this changed)
Drama Studies
Doctrine & Apologetics (Bible)
Semester 2:
Advanced French (H)
Shakespeare
Digital Photo 2
Faith & Culture (Bible)
Lunch (same deal as semester 1)
Economics & Personal Finance
Ceramics 2
U.S. Government & Current Issues
Basically, it's the most beautiful schedule I've ever seen. It's a work of art, even. I should post this in my art blog, that's how beautiful it is. Haha. I'm so excited to be a senior!!! WOOOOOOO.
I think that is all. Much love, kiddos!

D: I'm gonna have a C in biology for the semester. Poooooop. Hopefully my mom will understand that that class is the worst possible class for me, no matter how great the teacher is. (And he is awesome, I must say.)
In other news... I went to my friend's house and a few of us watched Robin Hood: Men in Tights, which is SUPER AWESOMETOWN and you should watch it, if you haven't seen it already. Cary Elwes + Dave Chappel (I think that's how it's spelled?) + Mel Brooks + more awesomeness = AWESOMENESS TO THE MAX.
Sailor Moon levels on Little Big Planet disappointed me. There was one 1/2 decent one. The rest either had no plot actually related to the manga/show, or else they were impossible to beat for various reasons. Made me sad. However, there are a few good Napoleon Dynamite levels. Bahahaha.
I don't know what else to say, so good night!

I went and saw UP.
Here are some thoughts:
1) Super cute short before the actual film, as usual. Mega awesometown props.
2) Lovely animation
3) Great plot
4) Just overall a fantastic movie. I would see it again. A+++ with a big smiley face.
To top it all off, I will tell you something slightly embarrassing.
At one point, I actually CRIED.
Now, this may not seem like a big deal (girls cry at movies all the time, right?), but for me, it is. You see, I've NEVER cried at a movie in my life, so for whatever reason, I guess this one was just extra special. There were just some parts that made me want to sob like a baby. Even the boyfriend said he got a little choked up.
So there you have a little bit of non-spoilery input from me!
What else, what else?... Picked up a pizza and just hung at home with the boyfriend. We cracked open the chocolate egg that his mom's Finnish friend gave them. (It was an actual eggshell that had had a hole drilled/cut into it, been emptied and whatever else, and then filled with SOLID chocolate. Amazing.) It was yummy yummy. Who knew the Finns were chocolatiers?
The boyfriend left, but not before I gave him back the little blanket and pillow I'd sewn for him for our 6 months. (I'd already given it to him on our six months, which was a while back. They had velcro on them so that they could stick together and hug, but the velcro was coming loose so he wanted me to reinforce it, which I did.) He wanted to detach the blanket part, but I told him to keep it and make it smell like Old Spice (which is what he wears, heehee) and then give it back to me if he wants. We are just weird and like to keep little things to remind us of each other.
I suppose that's about all I've got to say for tonight.
OH AND I GOT A 91/100 ON MY SPEECH! HUZZAH!!! :D :D :D
For reals, now, that's all.

I just wrote a 5 page paper about 6 songs. Woot. I feel very accomplished. I was feelin' the project so much, in fact, that I made a COVER PAGE for the damn thing. AND printed out all the lyrics to the songs. AND made a pretty cover for the CD that goes with the paper (as per request of my teacher). Sometimes, I really think I can do anything if I put my mind to it.
If you were wondering, the project was basically to analyze 6 songs from 2 consecutive decades (so 3 songs each). They had to be decades we studied in history, and they had to be post WWII, so I picked the 70s and 80s. I know, there was a LOT of crappy music at that time, but there were also some gems. It was hard picking songs to write about, though, 'cause I had to weed out all the relationship songs and the songs about nothing and such... I came up with these 6. (Please note, I don't necessarily like all of these songs, but they were interesting to read/write about.)
'70s:
1) War by Edwin Starr
2) American Pie by Don McLean
3) Let It Be by The Beatles
'80s:
1) Ebony and Ivory by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder (kind of an lol)
2) Dancing in the Street (covered) by David Bowie and Mick Jagger
3) 99 Luftballons by Nena (English version called 99 Red Balloons, even though that's not the right translation, as "Luftballoons" just means air balloons or simply balloons... not to nitpick)
So there are my songs. I analyzed them and wrote about them and blah blah blah. American Pie had to be the most interesting one. 99 Luftballons was probably the most confusing/difficult to explain in actual words, haha.
ANYWAY... well really, there is no anyway. I haven't done ANYTHING today. I started reading up on songs at about noon today and just finished printing and putting everything in a folder about 15 minutes ago. I think that my writing was crap, but I don't care because it was so interesting to read about all those songs (and lots of other ones... do YOU know what the song Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood is about? I do! ;) I'll think twice about buying a "Frankie says Relax" shirt from now on and will laugh at those who wear them).
Not much else to say. LEAVE ME COMMENTS. Ok not really. Do what you want. :D
Peace. ♥

Unfortunately, I have nothing of interest to post today.
Here's what went down today...
1) Played a helluva lot of Little Big Planet (tried to figure out how to build cars and played lots of community levels)
2) Went on facebook for like a minute
3) Talked to the boyfriend on the phone for an hour and a half. We've finally established the fact that we are not *planning on* breaking up before we graduate and do intend on at least attempting to make the relationship work going into college. If that doesn't work out, then fine, but it's worth a shot. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy about that.
4) Was picked up from my house by the boyfriend. Went to his friend's house, hung out, the boys finally started their game of Axis&Allies about 30 minutes before I left.
5) Got home... which is where I am now.
Tomorrow, I will be doing the entirety of my history project, which should take me about an hour, haha. All I need to do is compile a mix of 6 songs (3 each from the 70s and 80s) and analyze them. Add an intro and conclusion and bam, I'm done. It's pretty much as simple as that. I may also end up seeing the boyfriend again, only this time in the context of just the two of us, which would be nice. Even when I get to see him often with other people, I still miss having alone time... I guess that sort of makes sense?
I guess having nothing to say really turned into having a few things to say. Hello, world!

Huzzah! Today was my last Friday for the school year!
I went to a party (not really a party party) today. Nothing major, just hangin out. The boyfriend and I went to get pizza for everyone with his other friend (who may have been smoking *something* in the back seat).
Weird music was heard.
I don't have much to say, now. Bye. :)
p.s. I really don't like all the break-ups that have been happening lately. :(

I don't know what to post!
A follow up to a list of 100 things that I like seems rather difficult.
I watched Apocalypse Now (the Redux version, I guess?) today with the boyfriend. That was one of the more disturbing/weird/icky movies I've seen in my lifetime. I mean... it was a good movie, compelling and all that, but... sad and gross. And I don't feel like it was very representative of the Vietnam war. I guess I can't really say, since I wasn't there, but... riding in a boat and then (SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER)? Just doesn't seem quite right to me.
So that was that.
Today, I cried... for the first time in a long time. One of my best friends is leaving school. Today was her last day, even though the school year ends in a little under 2 weeks (including finals). She's just got some stuff going on (this is the one with the sick relative) and I think she just needs to be at home right now, and spending time with her family. She's gonna take a couple classes this summer and graduate early, so she won't be coming back next year, either. This is so weird... this person... I can't imagine spending a week, let alone another school year, without her. Sure, I'll see her often (as promised/demanded, heh), but... I dunno. It's just a strange thought that she won't be with me to make jokes during class and complain about projects and doodle on random things. And... to be honest, I'm kind of afraid. Yes, my 4 other close girlfriends at school are amazing, but it's weird to think that one of our six won't be with us as often... the one who I feel like I can most relate to, at times... I love all my girls, don't get me wrong. But she's the one I've been able to talk to about stuff all along... I dunno, I guess I'm just rambling here. My point is that my friends and I all sobbed together at the end of the school day... it sounds so dumb when put into words, but that's what happened. I'm probably going to go cry some more after I get done posting this. =/ Jay Bee... I love you so so so much. I hope you know that. You are an amazing girl and remember that I'm ALWAYS here for you, no matter what. Who else could be me and my 49 (or 196, or 7, or 1, or 4 or 2 or 8) selves? I know we'll stay close, but we've got to work hard, okay? Okay. Good. (Remember that? haha.)
I guess that's about everything I've got to say.
Hmm... oh, I finished writing my speech... I need to edit it a bit but whatever. I'm giving it on Thursday, which means lots of practicing tomorrow.
Not really anything left.
Peace out, kids.
♥
p.s. If you know someone who means a lot to you, don't be afraid to tell them, kay? It was weird... for maybe the first time, I looked my friend in the eye today and just said "I love you," right before we all went home. Maybe you don't need to do exactly that, but don't hesitate to let people know that you care about them. It really is for the best.

Star tripping is my new favorite thing to do at night. Hahahahaha.
So I had a bonfire at my house last night, and there were I think 10 people there, give or take. It was super fun. We had hot dogs and s'mores, listened to music (mini dance party... Maggie taught us how to Pop, Lock, and Drop), told stories, tried to play Red Rover (did not work well), had a piggy back race (technically Bryan and I won because we touched the fence first, even though Kyle and Lauryn were actually faster I think), sat around the bonfire, and of course went star tripping. Overall, I would call it a successful welcoming to summer vacation! (1 week of school and 4 days of finals left!)
Today is my best friend's graduation! I am so excited!!! Last weekend was her 18th birthday, and now it's her high school graduation! She's so grown up now, it's crazy. It's also crazy to think that a year from now, I'LL be the one graduating!
I thought maybe I would write my speech for English today, but I just don't want to, so I'll write it tomorrow, unless I get inspired today for some reason.
That's about all for now, kids.
♥
EDIT: Graduation was good. I kept myself busy while they read off the 500+ names by reading them to see which people were skipped and imagining why they were gone (kicked out, didn't feel like it, forgot, didn't have enough credit, etc.). It was fairly short compared to the other graduations I've been too. So now, my best friend in the world is a high school graduate. That is somewhat crazy to think about.
The bigger reason for this edit ('cause the graduation stuff really could have waited) was to tell you that tomorrow, I will be celebrating my 100TH POST!!! Woooo. I'm thinking up some fun ideas about what to post, so be on the lookout! Can't believe I've made it to 100 this quickly. (What a nerdddd.)

Hello, yet another fantastic day. I'm really enjoying this! :]
Maybe it's not that my days have gotten better recently... maybe I've just begun to appreciate them more. Not sure about that one. I guess it would make sense, though. Either way, I like it.
School was pretty good. The end.
Tonight, I ate dessert first! It was excellent. The boyfriend and I both had root beer floats at the ice cream shop near his house, and then we went back to his back yard and played a board game. It was fun until the bugs starting eating me, so we went inside and played Uno with his mommy. I love her. She is one of the best people ever, no questions asked.
After the Uno, the boyfriend and I decided that we were hungry for reals, so we went and got Subway. I will tell you something here that you don't want to know: my favorite/only order from Subway.
Anyway, we went back to his house and I got very sleepy. We snuggled and watched some TV, and then it was time for me to go home, which is where I am now.
I have nothing else to add, at the moment! ta ta!

6 inch Italian herbs and cheese bread, with ham, American cheese, pickles, and chipotle southwest sauce
EVERY time I order that, I get the same weird look from the people around. So what if I just like to combine a whole lot of good flavors? Make your own sandwich if you don't like how mine sounds! heehee.Anyway, we went back to his house and I got very sleepy. Guess who decided it was a good idea to just start drawing on me? I am now not only my own canvas, but also my boyfriend's. heh.

Not much to report, once again.
For the past three days, I have been, for the most part, happy. It's been incredible. The only thing today that made me sad was reading the blog about my friend's family member (the one who is essentially dying, I posted about it recently). The blog itself is very encouraging. It's all about him, and how even though this mystery disease is changing everything about him, mentally especially, some things still stay the same, like how he is very warm and welcoming to people. The thing that made me sad was how I realize I don't spend enough time making sure the people I care about know how much I love them. Sometimes I just take them for granted, which is stupid beyond belief. Sometimes, even though I can be perfectly nice, I act out for the smallest reasons (even yesterday, I was being a grouch to the boyfriend with absolutely no good reason). Sometimes, I just neglect to say what I feel. In any case, I'm realizing more with every passing day that I should be making the most of this life, and that includes making sure that people know I love and care about them.
Hum.
In other news, I am absolutely DETERMINED to get working on the comic with the boyfriend soon. I want to at least get a basic plotline down so that I can start writing strips so that he can start drawing them, but we never can seem to plan very well. I know part of it is how busy we've both been with school, so hopefully the summer will be helpful in that sense. I really want this comic to work. I think it could be incredible.
I guess there's not much else to say for the time being.
OH WAIT. I thought my ps3 was broken today, because it just showed this wave that goes across the screen (it's the main background) but no menus or anything, so I was freaking out... I tried restarting it and unplugging/replugging it and nothing worked. Then, I decided that maybe Google had an answer for me, and you know what, it did! I guess I just had to restore the file system, but I didn't know how to do that before and now I do.
Anyway, I'm really really for reals done now.
Have a nice night/day/etc., peoples!

OMGEEEEZ.
I got 100% on my biology test! It's the first thing I've aced ALL FREAKING YEAR, haha. 33 out of 33 correct. Better yet, it was the test ON THE FROG DISSECTION! Haha. I don't mean to brag, and hopefully it doesn't sound like I am. I'm just HAPPY! :]
Today was overall an amazing day... as was yesterday! I'm hoping my week keeps up like this. Heehee!
It's getting warmer outside! I love love love love love it! Warm is my favorite.
I guess tomorrow or so I should get working on my persuasive speech for English (the outline/intro are due Friday).. hopefully it won't be too hard. I think I'll be fine. 60% of the grade is for the paper, the other 40 for actually giving the presentation, so I'm shooting for at least an 80-85%. (I set my standards low for things like this). CRAP! I also have to do my proposal for my history project. Guess I'll do that now. Shouldn't take too long.
Have a nice evening, kiddos.

Some asshole is trying to start drama on facebook. xD
If you don't have the Honesty Box application, I'll explain it to you. Basically, you post a question like "What do you think of me?" or "Do you like my hair?" or whatever, anything you want people's honest opinions on it. I asked why people are facebook friends with me, since I didn't really know what else to ask. This was MONTHS ago, and I've since nearly forgotten about the application. Recently, someone posted that that was a dumb question. I responded in a slightly hostile manner, but only because 1) They should get their own if they want to make a better question and 2) That doesn't actually ANSWER what I asked, now does it?
So then they responded and I responded. I said nothing mean, although maybe a little harshly-toned, and they have since called me a douche AND said I "look like a dyke." I'm a little miffed now, since I don't really like people being assholes to me, but more because they're being anonymous about it. If people have issues with me, I'd like to know who they are and if it would be at all possible to resolve things. That's just how I am.
Also, I "look like a dyke?" Does that imply that this person doesn't actually KNOW me? -_- Also, way to use a derogatory term while stereotyping at the same time. Pretty cool, huh?
People are just so STUPID sometimes! Sheesh.
(Yeah, ok, that was a little mean but ... eh...)
In other news, I had a really good day today! The boyfriend and I went out to lunch and finished playing through Halo 3! We snuggled a little and then he drove me home, which is where I am now. I love days like this. They make me that much more excited for summer!!! Heehee. 3 weeks left of school, one of which is finals week! Yahoo!!!
Mucho love, friends and people I don't know.

Decent day. Not much to say about it except that I did not get a new bathing suit. The first one that I really liked was white, which seems like a bad concept (white+water=see through) and the second one that I really liked was $50... not worth buying, even adding in the reversible-ness factor.
Oh wells.
Today was just basically decent. The end.

Today is Friday! Huzzah!
Nothing happened at school today. Nothing ever happens at school. Sheesh.
Okay, I lied, there was a good chapel speaker today. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the FIRST good one of the year. *le sigh* Makes me kind of sad.
Also, my friend was upset today but she wouldn't tell anyone why. I'm worried about her. I love this girl so much... I just hope that everything is okay. I won't go into too much detail, but I will say a little bit. This girl has been going through this ongoing struggle since freshman year (we're juniors, nearly seniors). A member of her family is dying, and she's hurting. A lot. And today she said something about not being able to make plans this weekend even... up until now she'd been saying for this summer, but today she said this weekend, so I'm pretty sure that this family member is not doing too well. Even if she's been kind of waiting for something to happen, it's still gotta be tough and scary. I just hope that she'll be alright. She's strong, but this has still got to be hard. I just want to hug her.
*insert awkward transition to a lighter note here*
The boyfriend wants to hang out tomorrow. Upon asking me what I wanted to do, I told him to surprise me. I have a feeling he's not actually going to surprise me, and that I'll end up picking what we do (as usual), but it's a nice thought. This is just one of those days when I'm super super super excited to see him. Maybe it's because we analyzed "our" song in my history class today... which was actually kind of a downer, since it's such a happy sounding song with such a weird/bad/whatever background & meaning.
The song, if you wanted to know, is "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkel. It's "our" song because it's the first song I ever heard him sing. We were on the way home from a bowling alley after meeting a few days earlier. We weren't even dating yet. His cousin was driving, and we were in the back seat. My head was resting on his shoulder, eyes closed, and this song came on and just sang it softly in my ear. I nearly fell asleep. It was the best feeling... I don't even know how to explain it. But yeah, every time I hear it, it reminds me of that moment, and how perfect it was.
I guess there's not a whole lot else to say. See you kids tomorrow, then!
♥
p.s. If you're the praying type, could you perhaps please put in a prayer for my friend? Just for comfort and strength, I guess. Thanks. :)

Happy birthday, bestfriend!
THIS IS WHAT IS SITTING IN MY FRONT WINDOW!
As it is my best friend's 18th birthday, my mom and I had to go crazy. Here is the ENORMOUS bag we found in which to put her 18 random items. :)
We also decorated her garage, but I don't have a picture of that except the one on my phone but that takes way too long to upload.
Just thought I'd share this with you all. Bet you wish you'd been living across the street from me for 14 years, eh? heehee.

OH MANNN.
So I went out shopping with my mommy and we found the best conglomeration of 18 presents EVER. I'll tell you about them sometime, once they are opened, because we wrapped them and now I can't remember all that they are. Teeheehee.
I am super excited to give her her stuff. Seriously. I find so much joy in giving my best friend weird presents. We are just strange people like that.
Last year, for my birthday, she gave me a sippy cup that resembled something that my last name sounds the same as. BUT I CAN'T TELL YOU WHAT THAT IS OR YOU MIGHT KNOW MY LAST NAME OH NOES.
I haven't eaten since lunch... I should probably do that. There's some pizza, I think. Maybe I'll warm up a slice or two. Yummy. :]
Not much to report. I've now seen the entire first season of The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. (It's only 7 episodes long.) It's pretty dern sweet. YOU SHOULD GO WATCH IT. It's on OnDemand. :]
I guess I will write more tomorrow night. Byebye, kids.
